[Global Korea Post] The Ambassadors’ Spouses Association in Seoul (ASAS), in collaboration with the Global Culture & Economy Link Association (GCEL), hosted the “Shining Hearts Christmas Charity for Children” at Sundukwon Children’s Center on December 8, 2025, creating a warm and heartfelt evening filled with love and generosity.

The event began with opening remarks by Ms. Julia Kim, Chairperson of GCEL, followed by a welcome address from Mrs. Catalina Bolaños González, President of ASAS, and special remarks by Mrs. Chaba Rhuwanya Mavura, former Vice Chairperson of ASAS.
During her address, Mrs. Mavura introduced the ASAS Cookbook, saying, “This book is more than a collection of recipes – it represents the sharing of hearts and cultures among nations.”
At the event, the proceeds from the sales of the ASAS Cookbook were donated in full to Sundukwon Children’s Center as educational support funds, which will be used to assist children’s learning and academic development programs.
Ambassadors’ spouses from seven countries participated in the charity celebration, sharing their compassion and holiday spirit with the children.

The evening also featured a beautiful musical performance by Soprano Diana Yoo, followed by a gift-giving session, where the ambassadors’ spouses personally presented Christmas gifts and words of encouragement to the children.
The program concluded with a donation ceremony, cake-cutting, and leaving a lasting impression of warmth and unity.
Mrs. Catalina Bolaños González, President of ASAS, shared her thoughts, saying, “This event was not merely a charity occasion, but a beautiful moment of cultural connection and shared love.
ASAS will continue to bridge communities in Korea and around the world, supporting children and those in need through acts of compassion.”
The “Shining Hearts Christmas Charity for Children” is part of ASAS’s ongoing cultural and philanthropic initiatives, bringing together ambassadors’ spouses from various countries to promote international friendship, cultural exchange, and the true spirit of giving.
